Its so hard to be consistent in blogging recently. No Time, No Mood and Nothing to blog too! My life is simply too boring maybe.
No extra excitement, just what a normal student everyday life is"

A tsunami had just passed for me..... Marketing project had finally being submitted last thursday. 2 sleepless night including many days of hard work and effort. Hope that we got a DISTINCTION, crossing my fingers!

Looking forward to examination... Let's start to form study group so that we can prepare early. As the Scout Motto says "Be Prepared"

Busy days after exams - Work/Canoe/Birthday Parties/Tennis/Scout

Exams are over but busier days ahead! There are like so many things that I will like to do during this break. I will like to learn guitar, go for tour and earn more money. However more programs pack up along the way. I must learn to manage my time well.

Looks like I haven't been blogging since MARCH.

Some updates:

Work - I am currently working as a tele-marketer at IE Ideas. Easy job but its still hard-earned money so got to spend money more wisely!

Canoe - Learning how to balance better on a K1 canoe, get to sprint lately but still not up to standard. Mainly due to lack of arm power, need to train! <.... anybody interested to train with me.

Birthday Parties - Recently there is alot of birthday gatherings! Too many birthdays make me so scared of cakes now.... Hahaz :)

Tennis - Has been playing alot of tennis but I am still a Beginner, not yet an Intermediate. Didnt manage to go for tennis lesson due to financial constraints. It okies! I had many free tennis coachs around me. Thanks for not charging me!

Scout - Trying to find time to help out in our group campfire which is on 11 July 2009.

Its time not to be confused and stay focus on what you really want...... Exams results releasing soon!

Its been a long since I wear my scout uniform. Amazingly I went for the scout investiture!

On a bright sunny Saturday morning, as usual I crawl out of bed and went to change into the rover crew uniform. It's strange that I still remember how to wear after not wearing it for 2 years. Scout has really change alot...

Now even every patrol got a nice patrol flag like this!

My 1st Driving Experience

Has been super occupied with school work recently, assignment due and tests for each week.

Trying to study smart at the same time play hard. However it's hard to adapt such a style for me.... Hasn't touch my PS3 for the last 2 weeks!

Yesterday, 27 February 2009, was my first time driving for so long. Being a driver is indeed harder than being a passenger or a vehicle commander. I need to put full concentration in my driving, going through highways, small roads and difficult parking position.

A Dramatic Day for me as it was my first time driving.

After a swim in the morning, I went to collect the car from Turf City. This car was rented so as to surprise bing tomorrow because he has been wanting to drive a car around before his operation. Collection of the car was tedious and it was a long walk from the main road to the rental area. Check here, check there and all the signatures!

Finally we got the car then I drove to fetch dennis from work. It was like already 1 plus and we knew that we will be for sure late for lecture. Of course! We did reach Keppel safely. However when we were entering CBD area, to our surprise, the ERP is on. I was like super shocked then I immediately turn into the Fuji Xerox alighting area. I parked the car at the roadside and ran to the nearest 7 eleven to top up my cashcard. Manage to meet dennis, then we went Ah Moy street for lunch.

A rent car means an empty car, so we don't have any coupons. We went to 7 eleven and bought a booklet. To our amazed, we say the carpark auntie trying to book us for not putting coupons. Its like just a five minutes interval and we almost got booked. SUPER unlucky!

In the end, we only got for 3o minutes of lecture. After lesson we went HALO bar for drinks, darts, pool, snacks and karaoke. Waited for sheryl and binghui till 8 plus before we go AIRPORT to send linghui off.

After a day of coaching from my driving instructor, Ms Ong Shiya, finally I could park a straight vertical parking. Congrats for myself!

I am LIKE a "BLUR-COCK"

How come I am just so blur at times.... Recalling on the incident that just happened yesterday!

This is what had happened:

On 20 February 2009 (Friday)

I was having my "Introductory Accounting" test and we are required to bring along an identity card to our seats. It was a 55 minutes test. I am quite confident for the test so when I dismissed I rushed to go grab my bag and the usual discussion after test. The next day then I realized that I had misplaced my driving license. What could I recalled is just that I dumped everything into my school bag! Went home to search high and low, couldn't find it.

On 23 February 2009 (Monday)

I went to class sadly, hoping that some kind souls will return me my driving license. Luckily during break, the lecturer flashes a list of people that need to meet the lady for some school issues. Although it was quite embarrassing, I still got back my license. LUCKY me!

Need not waste money to replace it....... Thanks for the kind soul that help me

Some updates,

I had just joined SIM Canoeing, went for my first land and sea training. The canoeist are out-going and fun. Crapz alot too! Training is strenuous but beneficial. I canoe like a tortoise on land.

2 tests had passed and awaiting for OB assignment due date. Lets work for it! so that i can celebrate with U

No time to update my blog since 2009 starts. 1st entry of the year.....

Has been occupied with assignments, tests and schoolwork! Seems like I had became a busy student every since school starts. Anyway just to update if you don't know.....

I am currently a student of RMIT Business Management, a full-time course. Today will be a normal day for me as I do not have any date. Too slow and too blur! So become no date.....

No one to blame but myself! Hehex :)

School has been fun, with new friends but alot of catching up on school-work. I think I am getting OLD, so learn things also became slow. Time to work hard to complete my assignment and study for test. Have a enjoyable and memorable Valentine Day to all who read my blog.

Standard Chartered Marathon 08 - Endless RUN!

Another year of marathon, looks like we are planning to do this every year. It's like a finale for the year. Must suffer first before we can enjoy the fabulous Xmas and the countdown for the next year. For this time, my timing is 5 hrs 16 mins. Standard dropped!

Will be running again next year but not yet decide on the distant to run! Just like to collect the medals..... Actually it was quite a good experience too.

While I was running the marathon, I met quite a number of my friends during the run. A simple smile or a pat on the back really boost your morale to complete the marathon. Due to the lack of training, my knee aches when I reached 16km. However I still tried to force my way in completing the marathon. Weather was good and took numerous rest along the way. Thanks for all your morale boosters which makes me suffer all the way to completion.

2 years of marathons, 2 medals and 2 finisher-tees.

Hoping for a better run next year..... Anybody want to join me?

Need a trainer to train as I am not that discipline in training myself.

"in-prompt-to" Taiwan Trip Day 1

It all started when andrew, my army buddy, asked me whether am I interested to go taipei through MSN messenger. Then we started to plan our flight schedule and the budget. Everyday at work was just searching for flight to take and the places to visit over there. We took like a few days to decide on the date of flight and settle everything like in a week. (Accommodation, Air-tickets & Places to visit)

Something more amazing was that, the last air-ticket that I bought for Alan was done on the train when I was on the way to airport. Everything was super rush! When we check-in, I was afraid that the transaction done on the phone did not get through. Anyway it was my first time doing so, buying tickets through a phone.

We ate Delifrance before boarding the plane as no food will be serve on board the 4 hours flight to Taipei. There was my second time taking the Jet Star Airline. As usual the seat was not very comfortable and leg space was limited. We even purchase a drink and potato chips which cost us 3 bucks for each item. "Raddish price" Taking-off and landing was smooth...

Alighted at Taipei International Airport Terminal 1, the feeling was very different from our Singapore Changi Airport. The feeling seems not very welcoming and rather old, still prefer our local airport. Now I know why Changi Airport is consider world-class standard. Rushingly we board the bus and left for Alan's house near Hou Shan Pi Station, indeed a long bus journey there. I almost got "motion-sickness" problem. The day ended with a long travelling journey and a fabulous dinner with Alan's parents.

Last weekend, I went to work as an usher for 3 days at the Singapore Grand Prix.

It was super tiring... Have to admit that I am getting old.

Worked from 1000 to 1800 then got to stand under the scorching sun, usher patron to their seats. It was a good experience but pay was quite low.

Promised myself that I will go catch the Formula 1 race next year, anybody want to join?

First Day @ Work!

Wearing the formal attire going to work seems abit weird for me today! It seems like it was very long since I take the super squeeze train in the morning. My face almost kiss the glass window of the door.

Today work was fine! Everything seems quite interesting! I began to know more of the services that a bank can provides. Surprisingly, I felt quite awake the whole day.... Wish me luck for a better learning day tomorrow. Starting to pick up calls on monday, going to be a fully-trained phone service officer soon.

Last sunday, was the commissioning parade of the 70/08 Officer Cadet Course. It was the cadets that I took for lesson and overseas training. Its quite fulfilling to see people you train to pass out from this course. Hoped that they will be good officers in future!

Good News!

Had been rotting at home this few days, from monday till now!

Went for interviews but there are still no respond. Today I am called up for another interview, the ABN AMRO phone service officer position.

Hopefully I will be able to get this job!

The interview was conducted in quite an interesting way. First I was asked to do a self-introduction of myself, I gave a super brief one. Then I was given a scenario, like what I will do when that situation happened as a manager in a fast-food restaurant. It was rather easy! "common sense question"

The hard part came, when the interviewer want to give me questions of the services that the bank provides. I was only given like few minutes to read , then the test came. Managed to answer the questions but abit slow. Quite STRESSED! It had been sometime not having this kind of feeling. A lucky thing was that when I was on the way home after the interview. I got a call from Kelly Services Job Agency regarding the Formula 1 usher job that I had applied in the morning. Finally, I got a job. Although it is only for 3.5 days. At least

I am part of the RACE.

Oh yah! Forget to update what we had did during our ORD day. After collecting our IC on that day, we went to PARISS at Marina Square Center Stage.

The food was not bad but abit expensive for us the JOBLESS group.

Keep taking, taking and taking...

Graduated from Civilian Conversion Course (c3)

A conversion from LTA Eugene Ng to Mr Eugene Ng. Glad that I had completed this course today. 2 years had passed just in a glance. Its time for reflect what I had been doing for this whole time in the army.

07 Sep 2006 to 05 Dec 2006 : BMTC School 2

On this day, I exchanged my pink IC to a SAF 11B. Everyone was like going through motion, walking in the rows of motivating banners and the SAF 7 core values. We even took the oath at the auditorium in front of our parents, feeling very patriotic. Looking like a blur cock, I was assigned to Platoon 4 Section 2 Bed 3. First time carrying such heavy stuff up to the fourth level alone, worst was when you dunnoe anybody in the platoon. In BMT, the people will be of all range, from weirdos to brilliants. People were all very easy to get along and everything that we did will be together as one. In the entire army life, I treasure my BMT 3 months the most. Friends over there are the best, fun and interesting. I am still able to recall the day where we did the infantry roar in front of all the audience. It looks rather stupid but much effort was put in for the whole thing as we did it before every meal. I am really happy that I got into OCS. It should be one of my wish from the day I visited SAFTI MI at BMT.

18 Dec 2006 to 07 Sep 2007 : OCS Hotel Wing/Artillery Institute

Seems to forget all the bits and pieces of what had happened in OCS! The first day was a super dramatic day, the entire set-up and the atmosphere. It was 18 Dec 06, a cold, wet and rainy morning. Everybody was booking in with their duffel bag in a gloomy expression in their face and we had to march from the warriors hall to the OCS parade square under the rain. No complains! We march our way up the stairs. The only thing I remembered clearly during OCS was the slow 5.5 weekdays and the super short 1.5 weekends. A day in camp was like a week during secondary school. There were seriously too many things to do, no time for canteen breaks and did not even mentioned about having nights-out. It was because of this kind of lifestyle everybody become very self-centered, lesser people tend to volunteer to help out in stores or administrative stuff. We did not even have time for ourselves. This was the time where guys start to break-up with their girlfriends and tend to neglect their friends. Life wasn't easy but it was memorable. We did a confidence jump in the pool like 6 am in the morning and had ran up the OCS tower, it was a super breath-taking view up there. A lot of fears are conquered and we tend to know our limit through all the out-fields and takan-sessions. I even did a 1000 sit-ups during the Hotel Great Day on 10 Feb 2007. The common term concluded with a Social Night at SAFRA Mount Faber on 24 Feb 2007.

I was then posted to Artillery Institute. A whole new environment but life was not bad comparing to the life back then. I am more myself, with more free time and more freedom. Learning all the new things and first time going to oversea exercises as a cadet. It was still manageable.

08 Sep 2007 : 66/06 Commission Parade

After all the trainings, overseas exercises and takan-sessions, I am still wondering whether I am ready to be an officer. Eventually I am commissioned on 08 Sep 2007. I will like to thank all my friends that came for the parade. If you all did not know, I am super happy that day that you all attended the parade, 9 months of hardship was worth enduring when we took the photos on that day. The joy, laugher and friendship we had shared. From that day onwards, I promised to myself that I will do my best of me as a Reconnaissance officer. I may not be a good cadet but I must be a good officer.

09 Sep 2007 to 07 Sep 2008 : 24 Singapore Artillery

Good for me being posted to the Recce & Survey battery! At first, I was rather uneasy as both of my colleques were not very good buddies during our training term. However things turned out fine, we worked well and were good working partners. I had went for a few overseas trip, Ex Wallaby & 2 times of Ex Battleking. Every trip was a good learning opportunity for me.

All along what I wanted was to be a good officer of the battery, an officer that people looked up to, responsible with my work and know my stuff well. I thought I will be good enough to be a "good officer" when I get the job done but things weren't as easy as I thought. Life in the battery wasn't easy, office politics start to come in, people tend to say things. Its really hard to get the job done and not offending anyone. However life in the battery still carry on, things just got worst when understudy come in. On one-hand, peers start to say that I didn't let my hands off the battery, thats why understudy just couldn't learn as much. "Did I really care too much?" : I had been pondering about it. On the other-hand, understudy say that I didn't do work, only like to task job around. It was really hilarious!

Maybe the under-study were right! I am just not up to their standard as a good upper-study. But I did put in a lot effort in teaching them and do my job whenever necessary. My relationship with my understudy wasn't very good after all these incidents. However we still act as though nothing happened during office hours.

In conclusion, I had a wonderful time in my 2 years of National Service. Made many good pals and had learnt how to be a better person. It was the first time that I could tell myself that I had tried my BEST.

A day to ORD, how do you feel? Are you happy that you are going to ORD tomorrow?
ORD liao good right? Freedom!

Everybody had been asking me these questions over and over again. How should I reply them.

Seriously I do not feel any excitement in my ORD, everythings just got to carry on including my life. I am feeling more sad than happy actually.

Getting the pink IC doesnt make me any different from using a 11B. However this day will stay reach so that is no point running away from this day. I had put in my 100% effort within this 2 years, regardless I am a trainee, an instructor or a recce officer. Indeed I had a wonderful NS Experience. It was a fruitful 2 years I had spent in the army. This is the time I can tell myself that I had done my BEST.

This is a photo postcard that I had designed for those who had went thailand with me. Thanks all my army frens for being with me all this time. The hardship we had been throught had brought our friendship to a greater level. Although I always make them pissed with me. Hope they will like it when I give it to them tomorrow.

My last THAILAND

It was indeed my last Thailand trip as an Instructor. These was the first time I felt going abroad so relaxing and enjoying. Maybe because this was my third time going to thailand. Everything that happened was like expected! Within control...

The whole excercise went on smoothly, just that everyday there was something new. First is the signal sets, next tyre burst, then vehicle coming out with funny sound and etc...

Sitting at the back, I felt like a tourist going for a sightseeing excursion. With drinks and snacks provided. Quite a comfy yet interesting trip. As we tend to get lost at times and drive into SAFARI.

Looking back! I was once a trainee like the cadets. It was really different as an instructor. The things we focus are extremely different. As a cadet, you always want to perform up to the instructor expectation and thinking of just getting over it like what people always say "man-mode". However as an instructor, I will try to find fault of the cadet and tell them what I expect out of them. Punishment will surely be given on case by case basis. There is alot of planning and background work to do as an instructor. Reports, After-Action-Reviews and the reflection of individual trainee. But I like my JOB.

The last 2 days of Rest & Relax was fun. We went to temple, museum, zoo and a shopping centre. It was more educational and lesser travelling time comparing to the previous trip. A worthwhile RNR. Bought quite a number of stuff and buying food to eat like it was free. Althought things here are really cheap!

I will definately visit thailand again : any people interested ?

2 BLOCKBUSTER movie (West vs East)

Two amazing movies indeed! From the east & the west.

Of course! I did watch both blockbuster movie. Although the Red Cliff is only part 1, the storyline and cast was fantastic. If you all do not know, I am a person who like to watch history war movies. Movies with alot of historical scenes and storyline will be my top movie must-watch list. Can see that Red Cliff got alot of budget, from their scenes and costumes!

Next, the batman show was quite good. But at times I feel that the joker was too smart to be TRUE. It is an amazing with all the twist and turn of the story. However for me I still prefer Red Cliff than Dark Knights.

A movie week! Got to distress myself after like 2 days of intensive teaching with the cadets. Poor me! Got to repeat the same things for like the 3 sets. Similar mistakes but it should be worthwhile... Another half day on monday, I got to teach hard again.

Another 4 days to Thailand, I got to catch 2 more movies before I flew off.

Family KL Trip

Yah! KL again..... A common response from most of the people who know i am goin.
Not a bad trip indeed, although went to KL for numerous times. Lost count!
Super RELAXING trip! Went for FISH Spa, Scrub with massage and some shopping....

Bought only 2 tops!

Tickerlish Fish SPA

I was told that it was good for the skin as the fish will eat all the dead skin.

Can say that it is super cheap, only cost RM 19 for 30 mins.

Its very simple, just soaked your leg into the fish tank then the fishes will swim to your feet.

After that 30 mins, you feet feel smoother.

Its hard to get everyone to gather the take photos, especially the adults.

As usual ! Looking forward to another family trip but no more KL please...

Super BUSY & TIRED day! Yesterday went chilled out with some of scout buddies. I feel that we are becoming more and more like uncles. We had supper at a prata stall at Bukit Gombak and we chit-chat to like 4 plus. I reached home at 5am.

Woke up this morning at 1345. Super SHOCKED!
Rushed down to town to meet-up with friends and buy the neccessary stuff. Indeed had a fabulous dinner. Spent alot LATELY!

Suddenly i feel that this should be the time to blog about stuff.

There is so many happenings ever since I got into NS.

Life indeed changed alot...

Recently, I am considered not very lucky. Things always turn out wrong, even though i tried my very best in everything i do. I got 14 extras just because I did my work without using the proper procedures. That can be considered to be my fault, but my real intention was just to get the job done. I was wondering what my life will be like if i am not an officer. Will it be more enjoyable and carefree?
Somebody did ask me before "How come I as an officer still so busy?" I couldnt find an answer for that question indeed.

Putting NS things aside, I should start planning for my future.
All along I hoped that I will be able to get in to a university. Studying should be the best way out for me after NS.

Friends are important to me, however it is hard to communicate to some of them now.
Maintaining friendship is really not easy.
Being frank to each other and try to be in your friend shoes should be the best solution of a healthy friendship. And things will work out better.
I may had neglected most of my friends, but friends will always still remains as FRIENDS.

I had went to extract one side of my wisdom tooth on 28 February 08.

A quite scary experience indeed. Something good is that I got 6 days MC.

Will be planning to extract the other side in few months time....

"Not again" I went to thailand. The same old place but with a different role.
My job here is no longer a trainee instead an instructor.
However the job of an instructor is not easy too.

Thailand was a fun place to eat, eat and just eat.
The food is cheap and good. Tomyum soup is incompariable to those in singapore.
Someday should visit bangkok.
so as to SHOP, EAT and RELAX.

Just felt that the rugs are quite nice, although i didnt buy any.
A recommended food of THAILANDThis ZOO only got 3 animals,

A quiet xmas I had this year. Nothing really extravaganza!

I could still remember the sailing xmas party we had 2 years ago.

It was super fun and enjoyable. We had a uniform/pyjamas theme party.

Everyone was enthusiastic on their attire and present for that day.

It was a memorable DAY!

However this year, it was consider a boring one comparing to the theme party.
I had "tang yuan" this morning.
Love to eat so ate quite a number of bowls.

A miracle! 42.195km Marathon

1st time joining the Standard Chartered Marathon
Everything was quite well planned at first as we had weekly training.
It went wrong, when I was suddenly required to go for an overseas excercise. EX. Wallaby

I did train alittle during my oversea excercise but it was not sufficient.
So my AIM was to complete the marathon... .. . NO high hopeS!
On the day of race, 2 DEC 2007 Sunday
I woke up at 0345 and meet the rest at 415 at Bukit Gombak Stadium.

0530 sharp the marathon started!

All of us COMPLETED the marathon!

It was indeed a thing that we can booast about for LIFE.

Congrats all the 1st timer: Chun Guan, Dennis, Bing Hui, Zhao Yi, Zhen Wei, Wei Quan, Joanne & Myself.

We made it!

I had completed the marathon in 4h 53mins.

My furtherest training distance is only 14km.

During the marathon, there was alot of mixed feelings.

- I must complete the marathon -

-Why did i signed up for such a stupid thing? -

- What do I dont like about this somebody? -

- What should I get for my XMAS? -

- Why this uncle in front of me can run so fast? -

- Shit! Another 9km more... -

- Suntec looks near but how come so long still have not reach? ? ? -

As I run alone most of the time, so I need to keep my mind occupied.

On 31st October 2007, I flew to Rockhampton, Australia.
A 7 hours flight before the plane landed.
A super thorough check before we are able to board up the bus to our base camp.

Just to let others know: A wallaby is any of about thirty species of macropod (Family Macropodidae). It is an informal designation generally used for any macropod that is smaller than a kangaroo or wallaroo that has not been given some other name.

The Birthday Cake we ordered is the biggest cake that I ever eaten.

It was the first time I flew to Australia. Lucky me to have the chance to be there on an oversea trip. A good and fruitful experience.

- Seen a Koala Bear

Just came back from malaysia on 29 oct,
went to Genting and KL with Lionel, Yuen Wei, Dennis and Frankie. . .
A 4 day 3 night trip!

Didnt play much of the theme park, main motive CASINO...

At KL, we stayed at Time Square suite.

The room is super big, includes

Nice skyscraper view as we stayed at 39th floor.

We to KL Zouk but it was rather disappointing! It super tired after so many days of late nights.

Everything started with me putting up the decorations all alone.

All thanks to dennis and geng xian: dunnoe go where slack around!

But its ok!

At least they helped me to carry all the stuff to the chalet.

Finally its time to settle down and relax on my off day. Really super busy for this whole week, preparations for my birthday chalet and celebrations on the actual day. Additionally I work from 8am to 10pm everyday for this entire week. SUPER busy!
It was the first time, I felt so tired everyday.

Oh yah! turned 21
The feeling is great, as i recieved many presents that I liked.
And everybody enjoyed themselves at the chalet
It is indeed another phase of life. Otherwise everything still feel the same.
Maybe more freedom for now... .. .

21st birthday may just be another day for others.
However for me I tried to make it more special, planned 3 different celebrations on 3 different dates.

Tonight was a family outing to Singapore Night Safari, the world first night zoo.
It was a fabulous trip although the ticket price is quite high. The 45-minutes tram ride was cool, allow you to get a close view of the animals in the night and enjoy the cool breeze in the tropical rainforest.

The creatures of the night show was interesting, it got the audience involved very well. The host was funny and interactive. Indeed a worthwhile watching 30-minutes animal show!

Will try to the Singapore Zoo next time... .. .

It was indeed a BIG day for us as we had trained for more than 2 weeks for this parade.
There are like so many things to learn, arm drills, marching and the entire coordination.

I am still able to recall the day when I go up the SAFTI Tower to look at the beautiful view.
Time really FLIES! 9 months had gone

Having a greater power means having greater responsibility!

Amazing Fireworks Display

Last week I went to the Marina Bay Floating Platform to watch the Fireworks. It was super rush as I reached home at 1930 and the show start at 2100.
Luckily we managed to be there on time.

This is the first time I am viewing the fireworks without being surrounded by the crowd.
More comfortable and more enjoyable....
The 18th August fireworks were more special in my opinion.

Recently I just took a picture of the whole family, its quite difficult to find time slot for everyone to be back to take a group photo.... Everybody is so busy!

Soon I will be graduating from Officer Cadet School!
Getting quite excited although my next 3 weeks will be super TOUGH.
"Practice make you perfect" thats what most leader believed
Tough training will allow you to put on a good show for the audience.

Yesterday was the Artillery Certificate Presentation Ceremony, we were presented a certificate to certify that we had completed the 47th Field Artillery Officer Cadet Course. All of us were given a one bar epaulet as a gift.
Suddenly I start to recall the first day I was told about OCS. It was the day during the Discovery Centre visit at BMT. A day when recruits are introduced to the Singapore history.
My first impression of OCS was "Wahz! I didnt the army got such a beautiful camp" Everything in OCS seems so perfect, organised and symbolic. I must admit time really flies.

9 months course, another 3 more weeks to the actual day.

Tomorrow at this time, I should be on the plane reading some magazines or playing with the entertainment provided onboard. Finally its my final excercise, EX.Battleking, before going back to SAFTI MI.
"Getting the information from the patethic letter they gave us": I should be back in Singapore on 07 August 2007.
Luckily I didnt missed the National Day Parade. I just seems to enjoy to watch the NDP. Its like a never missed program on Tv on 09 August every year.

Recently, I felt quite lost, its like I had no sense of direction in my life. I seriously need a compass that will lead me out of this maze. I am thinking of this question, "Is it ok to buy things what you like for now?". Getting things that I like is it a want or a need. It confused me a times as sometime you really like that thing but you knew that getting it is obviously a waste of money.
In life there are instances where such cases occurs, you feel like doing something but you think that the outcome will be bad. Its a heart and mind thing! I am confused on which to follow.

I am back!
Finally back to singapore.....

After a 10days 9 night trip to Royal Brunei, I indeed miss Singapore. As the lifestyle there is totally different from here. The weather, people and feeling!

I had a super budget package to recommend. "A Hiking Trip to Mount Biang"
It should cost super cheap as alot of the things are provided. I think it cost less than 50 bucks.
Let me show you the 5 days 4 night Itinerary

1st Day: Flight to Royal Brunei Airport
You will be taking a 3hrs flight on the famous SAF C130 to the Brunei International Airport. At the airport you will be transport by bus and ferry to your accommodation. You will be staying in long house that holds 80 people under one roof.
Comments: The C130 flight experience was not bad, even though the seats are not as comfortable as commercial airline. We were sitting on those netting seats and the propellant created a very loud noise. Surprisingly! We were served food and drinks on board too by SAF air crew. Cool right!

2nd Day: Jungle Journey
You will be given checkpoints to find. Its quite fun if you do not get lost. However the probability of getting lost in the jungle is 90%, so very unlikely you wont be lost unless you super LUCKY.
Comments: It a good exercise to walk up slope then down slope and up again. The most interesting thing is that you get to drink stream water and it taste nicer. More refreshing! We saw a waterfall too.

3rd n 4th Day: Climb hill
You will cross a river using ropes. Then continue your journey up the mountain. Some part it will get really steep, just grab anything you can see.
Comments: Going up is fine! Coming down is the challenging part, we kind of get lost when we got down as we hit the waterfall. The most afraid creature on the mountain is leeches, a worm-like thing that sucks your blood and you do not feel anything. Sleeping on a hammock is super comfortable too! You will enjoy the night time when you sit beside a fire pit to talk crapz.

5th Day: Mosque & Museum
By the 4th day, you should be back to camp. Then the M&M journey start, you will visit the world's most expensive mosque and get to know the history of brunei. Shopping will be avaliable too!
Comments: The mosque is super beautiful, everything is made of gold including the dustbin. Its the best mosque I ever been to. Shopping at brunei is super saving money as there is nothing you will buy. This is the first time, I felt that shopping is a boring activity.

Looking at the itinerary, anybody interested to go Royal Brunei.

Life is never simply perfect!

AND its true as my weekend will be ending.

I will be going for a ten day trip to Brunei.

My first army oversea trip.

Yesterday, I went sailing with my fellow sailing buddies.
The feeling was so good to be back to the SAF Yacht Club.
Beautiful memories just flash back one by one, the jokes and laughter we had during competition in the sea.

One year ago I am still having fun!
Now life is different... .. .

I hasnt be sailing for about a year. Luckily, still able to get the hang of it after some time.
The sun was scorching but the wind was super light.
However it was still fun, some how miss the feeling of sailing in stronger wind.
Will go back again for sure....

Firstly we collect all the equipments needed.
Then we set up the boat and ready to launch.

Everybody had fun, especially those ex-sailors who hasnt been sailing for a year.

After a 23km Road March in the morning, then have to rush back to get ready for social night. It was indeed a very hectic 21 March. All thanks to Charlene for being my date on this day!

Social Night was not a very pleasant experience as I did not enjoy much. I was the souvenir in-charge and I got to mend the photo booth from the start to the end.
Hopefully my next one will be a better one!

22 March 07 marks the end of my service term of my OCS training. Thinking of it, I had been in OCS for 14 weeks ever since 18 December 06. It has been a very tough journey but everyday was like a blink. In these 14 weeks, activities was piled up like a mountain.

- Field camps
- Live firings
- IPPTs
- SOCs
- And endless theory tests

All of a sudden, everything just ended today with our Wing Cohesion Day, a visit to Bedok Newwater Plant. It was a pleasant experience.
*Recommend to go there if you really have nothing to do.
A very nice and good learning place.

I will be going to a whole new environment at the School of Artillery on this monday. Even though it was my choice to be post to this vocation, I think I will still miss my infantry days at SAFTI MI.

Lunar New Year to me is about eating, gambling and buying new stuff every year. ACTUALLY this event also act as a gathering for family members and friends. Kind of miss the time where we got to snatch the abalone during reunion dinner and the difficult search for salmon when we eat "yu sheng". Every new year is special!

Last night, I went for a karaoke session with my sailing friends at LaVox. The place was super nice, cosy, beautiful furnished and had very good ambiance. All of us had an enjoyable time!

I will recommend this place to those people who like to sing English songs. There is plenty of English songs in the song list provided. A good experience thus I will go there again for sure...

I had been in OCS for 6 weeks, from 18 December 2006 till now. The place I am living in is a very beautiful camp, having good facilities, good bunk, good equipments. Everything provided over here is GOOD!

However the life I am having now is so different from the previous one. Life here is more hectic, more tiring and more demanding....

Luckily I had already passed through two field camps, leaving the finale one after the Lunar New Year. Time really passed very quickly @ OCS. Just another mile to the end of the Service term...

In 2006, my life had CHANGED....
The impact was really great as I am in National Service now.
Life as an NS men is really different, its hard to describe but i think all enlistees will have the same feeling.
BMTC life was not that bad but OCS life is really Today.Onwards.U.Go.Hell!

I had miss alot of things during ever since i enlisted to the army;

- freedom
- already been cut off from the outside world
- no longer an up-2-date EUGENE

However I think, i am still able to mange till this point of time.

Today at 1530, I marched in the Tekong Parade Square in my smartest four and rifle. The weather was good and i suddenly felt that everything is going to end soon. All the trainings, the hardships and the enjoyments. My stay in BMTC School 2 is OUTSTANDING!

There is alot of things in BMTC School 2 that I will miss. My session mates, my platoon mates, the trainings, the Stand By Area, time being the Platoon IC, the cookhouse and the jetty. Even though my BMTC chapter had come to its closure, I will still keep a record of everything i did in the school.

I think i will miss everything of my BMTC time. Time really flies but I wont forget my everyday experience at BMTC School 2.

Its quite sad to announce that I just left one more week to POP. My BMTC life is ending soon! I think i will confirm miss it. On 5 dec 2006, it will mark the end of BMTC and a new begining of another phase of NS life. It is quite exciting as you will be post to a new unit, get to know more people and a new environment to adapt. Time really flies, I had already served 3 months of NS, remaining only 1 year and 9 months.

An O.U.T Field Experience

One month to go before my Passing Out Parade, time really flies. The main highlight of my BMT, the field camp, had already slip through me. This camp is not like any scout camp, even though I still get a greater advantage as I am trained to sleep in any kind of terrain.

I shall name this field camp as "Organised.Unity.Teamwork" Field Camp. These are the three things that I had learnt from this camp. It may sounds simple but i think my platoon is still working on it. Field camp was actually not as bad as i thought it will be. I still survive through it!~~ hehex :)
The one and only think I will like to comment on was the combat ration. It taste aweful and we were force to finish at least 3/4 before we could disposed it.

The most unforgettable thing is the beautiful night sky I saw when I go to the latrine at 0400. A sky full of stars. That night was the second last night before the end of the field camp. It was really damn beautiful!

I am done with LIVE range and Field Camp. I am left with IPPT, Situation Test and SOC. Hope that I enjoyed my remaining 4 weeks in BMT.

(Life will be enjoyable when you look at every difficulty as a challenge...)

Suddenly realised that i had been in army for 6 weeks already. Time really flies! I left only 7 weeks to POP. Thats really fast.
I had just took IPPT again. Had slight improvement, comparing to the previous one.

My field camp is on this coming saturday (what a sad thing to announce). I expect H E L L in field camp. So hopefully i can survive through it.

However life will still continues, as field camp is NOT as bad as i think (Hopefully!)

Its really fast! I had booked out again. Let me recall what i did this week....
A 4km road march with field pack, SBO, helmet and the attire is vest slack.
Comments: It was rather tiring because of the heavy field pack.

Ability Group Run
Comments: It was as usual should be getting used to the warm-up PT and the run.

Comments: I was told that this activity can improved your stamina in 2.4km. Hopefully it helps

Strength Training
Comments: I had used the 5kg dumbell and it was indeed very challenging.

My current fitness performance was quite bad.
Pull-ups: 6

Shuttle Run: 10.8 seconds
2.4km Run: 10.31 minutes

Need to improved more.

Eventually 2 weeks had ended, my conclusion was "ARMY is not that bad after all!". My first impression of BMTC school 2 was very good, its just like a normal chalet with the army banners hanging everywhere, even the toilets.

My pink IC had been changed to 11B. It also means that my freedom will be jailed for two years, it will only be released on 07 September 2008.

Luckily, I am getting used to army life. Suprisingly that! I am able to wake up on time everyday. I wake up at 0520 sharp everyday. A proud thing to announce to all. My sessions mates are fabulous, we talk alot of crapz, especially with my buddy. We are always the last to sleep and the last to wake up of the session.

Hoped that I can passed my IPPT...

Looks like today is my unlucky day! I had recieved two bad news in one day.

(Bad News Number 1)
I went to work today at Harvey Norman West Mall, sales was not as expected. I heard from Gavin, the head of the IT department, that they had decided to change the Hewlett Packard promoters. I was so shocked....
Additionally the canon promoters were also asked to stop working at West Mall Harvey Norman. Life is really so realistic, when you are good all the people will snatch to have you but when you are bad you will be thrown away. "This is LIFE i think"

(Bad News Number 2)
A planned cycling trip was cancelled due to some unexpected reasons from Cipto Handoyo. It was so disappointing as I was expecting a fun and interesting night cycling trip ahead. However everything was gone, just after a sms from zhen wei.
After reading Cipto explaination through sms, I am still not convinced. I am still pissed! The friendship between all of us are drifting, we are starting to realise the problem. Maybe he is right, " FRIENDS stand the test of time and disappointment "

A Great Day....

Today was a hectic day. I went to see the skin specialist at 1200 noon which cost me $91.00 with dennis and sheryl. Its glad to hear that my skin condition is improving.

After that I went for the Rover Pow Wow meeting with Ruifen and Kok yeow. It is indeed a fruitful meeing as we finally see some improvement in the rover progress scheme. The scout headquarter had formed the first National Rover Council. They had come out with a new rover progress scheme, which is made up of four tier. First the Explorer, the Voyager, the Pathfinder and the Baden Powell Award. Additionally new badges were also proposed for the new progress schemes but not yet confirmed. I am sure rovering in singapore will be more interesting and exciting in the future years.
Spent money again today! Bought a slipper for myself and dennis's birthday present. Hopefully dennis will like the present... Hehe:)

In conclusion, i think i did spend quite alot today. Doctor = $91.00 Rice Table Dinner = $23.00 Slipper = $ 27.00 Dennis Present = $9.00
Thats really ALOT! But today is a GREAT day, enjoyed IT.

Is it really so hard to plan a simple dinner?

This is what a question i asked myself today. Is it really so hard to plan just a simple birthday dinner? I tried to accomodate everyone but they just do not seems to care at all. Do they still really bother about this friendship? "This question had been appearing to ask me"
I had sms everyone ever since last wednesday, nobody replied to it. Therefore I assumed that all should be able to come for the dinner, so I booked a table for 7 at The Rice Table. However tonight I found out that people start to tell me that they will not be attending the dinner. It is just so disappointing.

Today I worked at Harvey Norman West Mall, it is so tiring. However I finally found the fun in this job. After working for 2 months plus, I felt that this promoter job is a challenging and interesting job for me. SAD! tomorrow cannot work.... hahaz :)
I got to skip work because i got some scout meeting at Scout HeadQuarters. Hopefully it will be an interesting and fruitful discussion...
